    Nestled on 22 wooded acres, at 7,000 ft, in the heart of the Bangtail Range, just 30 minutes from the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, Howlers Ridge is a remarkable and awe-inspiring destination perfectly designed for deep renewal of body, mind, and spirit. When it is complete the retreat center will integrate and complement the natural beauty of the land.

    The new retreat center is being built amid dense pine forests and with panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness, teeming with wildlife and natural wonders. The land borders the Gallatin National Forest and offers access to thousands of miles of hiking trails for all abilities, and easy access to endless outdoor adventures in the greater Yellowstone ecosystem.

    We honor the Indigenous peoples whose ancestral lands we now steward, including the Apsáalooke (Crow), Salish, Pend d’Oreille, Blackfeet, Nez Perce, Shoshone and others who may have lived on this land.

Retreat Center Facilities

    The retreat center is currently under construction. A team of architects from 45 Architecture & Interiors is leading the planning and design for the retreat center and we are working with a group of talented veterans to build the facility.     The retreat center will accommodate up to 15 people and include:

    - 4 private geodesic domes and a cozy A-frame cabin for participant accommodations

    - A main lodge with a large community gathering space, expansive decks, a yoga studio, and a fully equipped kitchen

    - A hot tub, sweat lodge, campfire circle, and meditation trail

  • A sauna at the retreat center.

    Rentals

    When complete, the retreat center will be the basecamp for future Howlers Ridge programs and retreats. It will also be available to rent for private events. Whether your group seeks quiet, peaceful reflection or exhilarating outdoor exploration, the retreat center promises to be a unique and inspiring mountain getaway. 100% of the profits from the rental of the retreat center will be channeled back to our mission, directly supporting our grants and trauma-informed programs.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is the retreat center ADA accessible?

Yes, we will have ADA accessible bedrooms and bathrooms as well as ADA accessible community spaces. Please reach out if you have specific questions or needs. 

Are the retreats religious?

No. Howlers Ridge retreats are secular, though they may incorporate Indigenous or spiritual elements, if welcomed by participants as a component of their healing.

Can I rent the center for an event?

Yes, once construction of the retreat center is complete it will be available for rent and will be a perfect space for yoga retreats, family reunions or getaways with friends. 100% of the profits will go to supporting Howlers Ridge programs and grants. Stay tuned for updates on the construction and when the retreat center will be available for rent. 

What other services do you provide with the rental? 

To support you in shaping a perfect retreat, we will be able to connect you with vetted local service providers such as private chefs and catering services, outdoor adventure guides for fly fishing, whitewater rafting, and horseback riding, and wellness practitioners, including our partner who can facilitate sweat ceremonies.
